HOW TO VOTE IN 2022
NEW VOTING SYSTEM
In 2020, L.A. County changed the way we vote.
Traditional polling places will no longer be where voting takes place. Instead, the county is moving to Vote Centers. Voters now have the option to cast a ballot in-person at any Vote Center in the County. Vote Centers look and feel like polling places, but provide additional modern features to make voting easy and convenient.

VOTE FROM HOME BEST PRACTICES
1. We are encouraging voters to return their ballots within 48 hours of receiving them.
2. Please make sure to fill out your ballot completely, and to sign where indicated on the outside of the Official Return Envelope. If this is your first time voting by mail ballot, your signature should closely match your signature on your Driver's License.
3. As far as sending your ballot back, we recommend the following:
A) The safest way to return your ballot is to either drop it off at the registrar, or to drop it into one of the Ballot Drop Boxes located throughout the county. The list of locations will be posted by October 5th, and we can send you the link if you'd like when they post it.
B) If you choose to mail it, we recommend that you walk it into a post office, and to use the mail slot in the wall at the post office, rather than using a blue mailbox.
C) If you are concerned about leaving your home during the pandemic, we can have one of our staffers drive to your home to pick it up, contact free.
If your ballot is received by the registrar by the Friday before the election, your vote will be included in the totals announced on election night.
HOW TO VOTE
BY MAIL
If you vote by mail, your ballot must be postmarked by or dropped off by election day, November 3rd.

You can drop your ballot off at numerous locations throughout L.A. County: Find a ballot drop-off location
IN PERSON
You may vote in-person at anytime between October 24 - November 3 at any of the 11 Day vote centers in Los Angeles County, and October 30 - November 3 at any of the 5 Day vote centers. You do not have to live near a vote center to vote on your ballot there.

COMO VOTAR EN 2022
NUEVO SISTEMA DE VOTACION
Las votaciones ya no se llevarán a cabo en los lugares tradicionales para votar, en lugar de eso, el condado ha cambiado a Centros de Votación. Ahora los votantes tienen la opción de emitir su voto en persona en cualquier Centro de Votación del Condado.

VOTE DESDE CASA, MEJORES PRACTICAS
1. Urgimos a los votantes a llenar y devolver sus boletas dentro de las 48 horas posteriores a su recibo.

La manera más segura de devolver su boleta es ya sea llevándola al registro o depositándola en uno de los buzones o cajas oficiales para boletas electorales localizadas en distintos puntos en todo el condado. La lista de ubicaciones será publicada a partir del 5 de octubre, y si usted lo desea, nosotros podemos enviarle el enlace cuando sea publicado.

Si elige enviarla por correo, le recomendamos llevarla adentro de la oficina postal y que la deposite en la ranura de correo en la pared de la oficina postal, en lugar de usar un buzón azul.

Si le preocupa salir de su casa durante la pandemia, podemos enviar a uno de nuestros empleados a su vivienda para recoger su boleta, sin necesidad de tener contacto.
Si su boleta es recibida por el registrador el viernes anterior al día de las elecciones, su voto será incluido en el total de votos anunciado la noche de las elecciones.

POR CORREO
Si vota por correo, su boleta debe de estar sellada o entregada antes del dia de las elecciones, 3 de noviembre.

DEPOSITANDO EN LAS CAJAS OFICIALES
Usted puede depositar su boleta en cualquiera de las numerosas locaciones en todo el condado de Los Angeles. Encuentre una locación: Find a ballot drop-off location
EN PERSONA
Usted puede votar en persona en cualquier momento entre el 24 de octubre y el 3 de noviembre en cualquiera de los Centros de Votación de 11 días en el condado de Los Angeles y del 30 de octubre al 3 de noviembre en cualquiera de los Centros de Votación de 5 días.
